Well we are now back from the prestigious UKC Southern Classic! We are all exhausted (My watch says I walked 30 miles in 3 days at the show site!) We brought 4 MAS plus my mother's dog Nicky. I brought Sonic, Nessie and my co-own pup Basil for conformation. I showed Spyro and Sonic in rally. My mother showed Nicky in Rally.
Unfortunately, we pulled Basil after the first day due to him not being ready to handle the show environment. Nessie fared better, though still a bit nervous on the table. The judges were amazingly kind and patient with her. She pulled off one Best Female against competition and came home with 40pts towards a championship. We are on the fence as to whether we will continue to show UKC so this may not be finished, but we appreciate the head start! Sonic took Best Female 5 times and finished her UKC conformation championship. She won Total Dog awards all 3 days. She qualified in 6 of 6 Rally runs and earned her Level 1 and Level 2 Rally titles. She had two 99pt scores, three 97pt scores and 1 95 score. We are very, very excited about her rally career. She had a couple of first place finishes and had placements in 5 of 6 runs.
Spyro earned both her Rally 3 title and Rally Master title with scores ranging 88-96. She had 5 first places and 1 second.
Our "honorary aussie" Nicky finished his Rally 3 title with my mother.
We are very proud of our crew! We brought home a whole slew of ribbons (30+ I believe). We hope to do more UKC rally and obedience in the future!
